Fern manages all aspects of the Devon Federation and works closely with the Board of Management and County Officers to ensure the county programme meets the needs of the membership. As the federation’s Designated Safeguarding Officer, Fern looks after the welfare of our members.

Fern was a member of her local YFC club in Scotland whilst growing up in the Aberdeenshire countryside.  She has worked extensively with young people in her career as a secondary teacher and in the youth work and charity sectors.

When not in the office, you can usually find her on the moors with her collie.

Denise is normally your first point of contact for all things admin and finance and also manages the county’s membership process.

During her career she has formally worked in education, the charity sector and industry giving her knowledge of all aspects of business, charity and working with young people.

When not at work you can normally find Denise helping out on the family arable farm or spending time with her family.
