County Pantomime and Member of the Year Winners
Honiton Young Farmers Club win Devon County Round Pantomime
The Devon county round of the Pantomime and Senior and Junior Member of the Year was held at Exmouth Pavilions on the 4th and 5th of March, sponsored by Clydesdale Bank.

The Pantomime had a high standard of competition with Honiton YFC coming first, Withleigh YFC second and Cheriton and Tedburn YFC third. Honiton staged their performance of Peter Pan and were surprised but ecstatic to win, the first time in 36 year, which also meant they won the Wollaway Cup, for the club gaining the highest points, that have not been in the competition for the last 5 years.
The Pantomimes were judged by Mr Charles Clarke, Miss Carol Spurway and Mr Mike Squire, best actor went to Andrew Heard of Swimbridge YFC for acting the part of Widow Twanky and best actress went to Rachel Snell of Honiton for acting the part of Tinkerbell.
Honiton will go on to compete at the South West area competition held on the 25 th and 26 th of March at Weston Super Mare, if you would like to support Honiton contact Dave Lawrence on 07779128981.

The Senior member of the Year was won by Peter Reed of Yarcombe YFC, second was Vicci Camp of Totnes YFC and Third was Anne-Marie Harris of Withleigh YFC, this competition was judged by Mr Leyland Branfield and Miss Helen Biddick. Peter has been a very active member of Yarcombe YFC, the East Devon Group and the County Federation . In the past few years he has been heavily involved in organising the County travel program, with members visiting several foreign countries and also organising the Devon Lifestyle week, where members from all over Europe came to Devon . Peter has also been club secretary and is now Junior Vice-Chairmen for the County.
The Junior member of the Year was judged by Mr Geoff Ware and Mrs Julie Sprague and was won by Annabel Edmonds of Cruwys Morchard YFC, second was Leanne Kneebone of Clawton YFC and Third was Rebecca Grist of Cheriton and Tedburn YFC. Annabel is an outstanding young member of YFC she has won a scholarship to Sweden with the YFC, she is currently club secretary and has been joint program, sports and social secretary, she has taken part in the skills for life program, she is doing the Duke of Edinburgh and also helps raise money with her club.
Both Peter and Annabel will also go on to compete at the South West area competition held on the 25 th and 26 th of March at Weston Super Mare.
